By Car:

Tourists seeking a rental car or self driving can drive directly to the Awana Bus Terminal, which is a 48-minute drive from central Kuala Lumpur city.The Awana Bus Terminal has an 8-story car park with ample parking space for all the four-wheelers and two-wheelers.


By Bus:

Tourists can board a bus directly from KL Sentral to the Awana Bus Terminal which is considered as the most cost-efficient option to reach Awana SkyWay.


By Train:

from KLIA/KLIA2 board on to the KLIA Express train. From there, you can either take the bus or drive to the Awana Bus Terminal.

The Genting Awana SkyWay has a total of 109 gondolas, of which 99 are regular gondolas and 10 are glass-floored gondolas. Each gondola can carry ten people in one trip, whereas the glass-floored gondolas can have only six people. The gondolas can cover a distance of 2.8 km in just 10 minutes and take 3600 passengers per hour.


-Construction:

The Leitner Ropeways has constructed the Awana SkyWay cable car. Its foundation to the bedrock is done on four Caissons with the help of 22 pylons. The ropes bearing the weight of gondolas are 60 mm thick and run along with the structure.


-Rules & Regulations:

  • If the accompanying children are shorter than 90 cm, then they will be entitled to a free ride smoking is prohibited in the Awana SkyWay Cable Car
  • Awana SkyWay does not allow pets inside the gondola or in the vicinity of the transit point.
  • An adult should accompany any passenger below the age of 16 throughout the ride.
  • Each passenger is allowed to carry luggage of the aircraft cabin size. However, baggage that will weigh more than the prescribed load will have to pay an extra surcharge.
  • Each standard gondola can bear the load of 10 passengers, whereas a glass-floored gondola can accommodate six passengers.
  • People in wheelchairs or parents with baby strollers are allowed inside a standard gondola. Unfortunately, a glass-floored gondola can only bear the load of a baby stroller
