When was the Awana SkyWay Cable Car Built?

The Awana Skyway Cable car was built in 1977 to connect the Awana station and Genting highland resort (1971). This cable system ceased in April 2014, and the new Gondola system lift system was introduced in 2016 with 106 Awana Skyway cable car where 6-8 people can sit in one Gondola. Earlier it was an aerial tramway system with a small two-passenger cabinet.

What are the Key changes made from the old Awana Skyway?

  • Old Awana Skyway was stationed at Genting Hotel building, whereas the current station is at Sky avenue.
